Looking for headphone options for everyday use

Hi all, here's the problem: I'm tired of switching between different headphones for different needs - some are for music, some are for meetings, some barely hold a charge. I need something reliable, compact, and perfectly compatible with my iPhone. AirPods seem like an obvious option, but I'm hesitant to shell out that much money without knowing what the actual day-to-day experience is like. Does the sound justify the price?
