Automating documentation updates: tools and workflows
#1
Hey guys, does anyone else get overwhelmed trying to keep docs updated? Every time we launch a new version, I spend hours cross-checking what’s changed. Last month, a user found an outdated screenshot I missed, which was pretty embarrassing. I keep thinking there *must* be a way to automate some of this process so I’m not doing it all by hand. Anyone here figured this out?

Oh yeah, staying on top of updates used to drive me nuts! The only way I survived was by setting up automated reminders and using https://www.helpsmith.com that actually connect with my source files. Now, when something changes in the code or UI, I get a heads-up to update the docs. Some tools even let you tag sections that need regular review, which is a lifesaver. My workflow is to do quick checks weekly instead of letting stuff pile up. Automation won’t catch *everything*, but it really does save time and reduces mistakes!
