Jin Shin Jyutsu Holds to Strengthen the Immune System
in Shin Jyutsu is an ancient and gentle energy art that helps harmonize the flow of energy within the body by lightly touching specific points known as Safety Energy Locks (SELs). By balancing these energy points, we can support our body’s natural healing power and enhance overall well-being. Among the many hand postures in Jin Shin Jyutsu, there is one particularly simple and powerful method that helps to strengthen and balance the immune system.
How to practice:
Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down. Relax your entire body and breathe naturally.
Then, place your left hand on the right SEL #11, located near the base of the neck on the right shoulder, and place your right hand on the right SEL #15, which is found at the center of the hollow area between the right thigh and the lower abdomen.
Stay relaxed and continue to breathe naturally. Hold this position for about fifteen minutes or longer.
After that, switch sides:
Place your right hand on the left SEL #11 and your left hand on the left SEL #15. Again, hold the position for fifteen minutes or longer.
This simple practice helps balance the energy flow between the left and right sides of the body, promotes circulation, releases tension, and restores harmony to body and mind. When practiced regularly, it can help strengthen the immune system, increase vitality, and awaken the body’s natural healing power.
